Meet John

John Stubley is currently the primary practitioner at Iron & Thyme. John is a respected, qualified and fully accredited practitioner of Naturopathy, Western Herbal Medicine and Nutritional Medicine. His health qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy, an Advanced Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine, an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and a Foundation Diploma in Homeopathy. He has completed a five-year postgraduate training in Anthroposophic Medicine (IPMT), and is endorsed by the Medical Section at the Goetheanum as an anthroposophic naturopath.

 

He has professional membership with The Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA), the Australian Anthroposophic Medical Association (AAMA) and Goetheanum Meditation Worldwide (GMW). He is registered with the Complementary Medicine Practitioner Associations Council (CMPAC) and the Australian National Register of Accredited Natural Therapists (ANRANT). 

John is also an experienced and accomplished counsellor, facilitator, mentor, meditation teacher, and life-coach.

John has completed additional health training in, amongst other areas, narrative therapy (Dulwich Centre), biographical work (Horst Kornberger), mentoring (Orland Bishop), social process (Nicanor Perlas), meditative work (Arthur Zajonc), and working constitutionally with children (Adam Blanning & the Physicians Association of Anthroposophic Medicine). He is also completing an international clinical training at the Filderklinik in Germany - an integrative anthroposophic hospital - with around 50 doctors (and selected health practitioners from other fields) from all over the world.

Like many of us, John has a range of other life experiences and skills which he can potentially draw from during your consultation process. Amongst other things he has been an adult educator, a social process designer and facilitator in the field of social enterprise, a publicity officer at PMH Foundation, a journalist, an academic, and a widely-published creative writer. He was a co-worker at the Goetheanum for three years, has been on the board and taught at Rudolf Steiner College (Perth), and has facilitated class 12 main lessons at Perth Waldorf School. In addition to the above qualifications, he has a PhD in English and Comparative Literature, a first class Honours degree in Creative Writing, a Bachelors Degree in English with Distinction, and a Cert IV in Small Business Management.
